#New Year To Reach Your Fitness Goals

We’ve all been there; January 1st rolls around, and we all want to be better and do better, and by the middle of January, we’ve all given up trying. The issue is that you could’ve spent good money on getting fitter or planning what to do, and now you feel discouraged and disheartened.

The other issue is that the fitness industry knows you are going to do this; dive headfirst into getting healthier and bail within a couple of weeks, so they gear up to market towards this. But this is just as unhealthy as staying as you are.

That’s why this year, we are scraping #New Year, New You, and campaigning for #New Year To Reach Your Goals! This embodies everything we stand for; advocating long-term, achievable goals that fit into your life and helping you reach them.

Why New Year is a Good Time to Start

New Year is a great time to get started towards those goals. The issue is that normally we set goals that are just too unattainable for you mentally, especially when most of us are still recovering from Christmas.

So set small, achievable goals to start off with. These don’t have to cost a penny, it could be something as simple as walking 10,000 steps a day. This will boost you emotionally and mentally into wanting to continue and then keep making the goal a little harder each time.

And if you are looking for something to give you that extra boost, now is as good a time as any to shop without breaking the bank. Whether cardio is your go-to, you prefer lifting weights or heading to the golf course. You might even prefer to get outdoors in nature or go for a cold dip in the sea. Whatever your interests, there’s something for everyone!

If you want to know how to plan your New Year’s goals, we’ve got you covered!

How to Keep the Motivation Up

Keeping your motivation up after those first few weeks is key. As we have just mentioned, meeting those little goals really helps boost you. If you can complete those little goals, you can push yourself a bit more and more, and before you know it, you’ve reached that big goal you always wanted. Keep track of how you are doing as well; it’ll help you see how far you have come.

Another way to motivate yourself is to give yourself little rewards. If you reach that 1-week goal, you can treat yourself to something special. This will help power you through to the next week and so on.

If it helps keep you motivated to reach that goal, go for it!
